Medical Coding Courses

  MEDICAL CODING                   Medical coding courses instruct students in the use of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to assign medical codes to diagnoses, treatments, and procedures. In addition to providing an introduction to medical billing and reimbursement, courses will cover common medical coding procedures, including the usage of ICD-10 and CPT codes. Besides from medical coding, students may also learn more about health information management and moral and legal issues.
